ABOUT THE LESSONS
This four-lesson course includes basic nutrition education to help plan meals and prepare food for people living with Diabetes.
In Lesson 1, “Carbohydrate Foods”, we examine carbohydrates, learn to count them and examine portion sizes.
Lesson 2, “Making Recipes with Fat Better for You”, explores the role that fat plays in our diet and how to include fats into our meal plans.
We will look at side dishes and focus on the role that Sodium and Fiber play in our health in Lesson 3: “Double Pleasure Side Dishes”.
Finally, in Lesson 4, we will learn to celebrate the holidays and other festivities sensibly.
