Healthy South Texas
Healthy South Texas, the pilot program of Healthy Texas, is a novel effort to reduce the highest impact diseases and their consequences throughout a 27- county area. Our multi-disciplinary team engages people of all ages in educational programs and activities geared to improved overall health outcomes related to reducing or delaying the effects of chronic disease. Through effective nutrition, health and wellness, and physical activity programming, participants learn strategies for taking control of their own health to reduce the burden of costly preventable diseases.
